When do you feel relief?

I have been on 2 40mg of nexiums for a week now. For a couple of days the burning seemed to decrease. However today, I have a horrible taste in my mouth that was strong with burining in my throat and some difficulity swallowing. Now tonight I have had burning in my stomach again.

I have been struggling with this since Feb. I have tried different medications and nexium seems that it could do the trick. But again I am dissappointed. Right now I had to get out of bed because the burning is bad.

Could anyone tell me that is this on the way to recovery.....feeling a little better for two days and then not so good. Is it a slow process of getting better. Does it happen little at a time. My GI order more test. So far the stress test came out fine. I am waiting for the CT chest test to be set up. I have an ultra sound set up for tomorrow of my pelvic area.

I just am so very frustrated. HELP

Re: When do you feel relief?

YOUR GOING THROUGH WHAT IVE BEEN GOING THROUGH FOR THE LAST 3 PLUS YEARS I CANT FIND ANY MEDICINE TO STAY WORKING..

My advice is keep switching treat it aggressive keep the stress down..

Do you have anxiety at all I do maybe if you curb that might help

Tests also point you in the right direction also..

You are so not alone I dont know what to eat im thin, sick most of time from Gerd I dunno what to do..

You are right all we can do is control our stress and treat it as best as we can. It does get frustrating though. You would think that something would calm things down.

Right now for me the nexium is helping a little. However not a day that goes by that I do not suffer with something. Either the throat, burning stomach....goes on and on.

I am surpose to go on a 9 day vacation at the end of Sept and I am afraid to go. I thought at least I would have things under control with meds.

Have to keep hanging in there and hope for the best.

Re: When do you feel relief?

I am new around here, but I feel for you..I have been coughing/choking what ever you want to call it since May..started 20 mb Aciphex about 7 weeks ago, and it is getting better each week, although not a day or night goes by sympton free. It is so frustrating. I too, have to work on the stress thing. I am not going Holy rollers on ya, but I have found that spiritual/religion what ever brings a peace and hope into the moment helps.

hang in there

Thank you for your support. I hope that you feel better to. Maybe you should take 40 mg two times a day. I think most people so. I was reluctant to up my dosage to. For me it just helped a little. I am so tierd of test and going to the doctors and not feeling good. It wears on you.

I do have faith and try to find peace but sometimes it becomes so hard. Keep working on the stress as I have to be very careful about that to.
