Post BeCalmed and Serotonin

Hi:

I've seen this "natural" alternative to evrything from ADD, to depression, anxiety, coming off benzodiazapines. Everyting does look natural, but I'm wondering if ANYONE knows if there's any danger of that Seratonin Syndrome - I take Klonopin and Depakote now and am *considering* adding this BeCalmed.

THANKS!
P.S. Their web site says nothing about this subject.

Hi Amos, i've read that you cannot take the SSRI'S or MAOI'S with B'Calmed. It is supposed to be good for coming off benzos although that's one heck of a withdrawal and i don't know how much it helps. Also, 5-htp is supposed to be good and cannot be taken with the same class of drugs mentioned.

Hey,

I agree you should not take the be calm .
benzos are very hard to withdraw from.... I have heard a rapid withdrawl compared to the symptoms of heroin withdrawl. Be careful... I hope your doctor is tapering you off these meds. Coming off of a benzo can have some nasty emotional and physical effects.

Thumbs down

Hey Amos,
I'm with the others. I wouldn't take becalmed with what you're taking now.
I will tell you this, I came off of Xanax verrry slowly. I was taking 4 a day. I got a pill cutter and 1/4 one pill. . .about 5-7 days later, took off another 1/4, etc. I stayed off of them for 2-3 months. Unfortunately, my condition wouldn't allow me to stay off, so I'm back on 'em. I hate meds but I sure hate feeling as bad as I do without them. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/blob_fire.gif
Best of luck,
Leppi

Neither of the medications I take are SSRI or MAOI's, though?

I didn't see on the site any medications not to take BeCalmed with. Still wondering .,.. . ... .
