I have been headache free for 2 years, since being on Toprol XL. I recently stopped Toprol due to extreme hair thinning. My Doctor wants me to now try Cardizem CR. I have had three migraines in the past 3 weeks. Has anyone used Cardizem, and what about any side effects.
My husband takes Cardizem Cd which is a calicum blocker rather then a beta blocker like I think toprol xl is and the side effect he gets is edema. What I have been told is that beta blockers are helpful for migraines but I am not sure about the calicum blockers.
