Chrys, I wish I could make my family and friends understand this dx of bipolar. I have tried SO hard and the underlying current I'm getting is, 'this "mental illness" happens to other people...it just can't happen in our family.'

I don't come from a moneyed (sp?) family so I don't know why they are acting so snooty about it.

There should be no 'prize for ignorance' and it's one of the hardest things in the world to deal with.

I guess we all have our own sack of rocks to carry...LOL...some a little heavier than others.
