Post Medications that worked for you??

I was just wondering, have any of you found any medication that somewhat worked for you without making you extremly tired or without huge side effects. My H has tried pretty much everything, and won't take med's, maybe there is something out there he hasn't tried yet... ANy suggestions would be great!
Thanks
Angie

Sorry to hear about your husband. I know my family
has suffered greatly for my bipolar illness. I
imagine your husband has tried "lithium". It's the
only one I've tried that helps the bipolar although
it doesn't do anything for the depression. I can
say over the last 9 yrs different doctors have made
every effort to take me off of it and try the new
drugs, which were awful, they didn't work and had
terrible side effects. There is a fairly new drug
called "Geodon" that's helpful for paranoia type
thoughts that was suggested to me but I'm so drug
senitive I choose not to try it. If your interested you can lookup the side effects of any med online below are a few sites I use. Good Luck, Kiehn http://************.com/health/drugs/a.html http://www.rxlist.com/

There are clinical trials that might be useful to your H. They are coming out with newer drugs that are in the final stages of being FDA approved (researched for years already) that have minimal side effects.
You can get a trail of these normally unattainable drugs for free. It doesn't hurt to check it out.

Is he really both Biplar & schizophrenic..
or perhaps Bipolar- paranoid or
schizoaffective- schizophrenic type

An acurate diagnosis will also help intreating the illness.
