Urges to pee

I am only 16 years old, yet I am having a problem, especiall when I lay down at night. I feel as if I have to pee, yet I know that I dont because I had already gone before. If I do go, its usually not that much to go. I have tried prostate stimulation because I heard that it enhanced orgasms. The problems did not occur until after i had tried this. I am a little embarressed to bring this up to anyone in my family, especially to my father who happens to be a doctor, so I wanted to see if anyone else could give me an idea. Prostate cancer is not in my family history, and being 16 I would probably rule that out.

thanks

Re: Urges to pee

I have one for you on Prostate Cancer. In november of 2004, I went to my doctor for s/s of thyroid problems. She checked me out ran some blood work including a PSA. A few days later her office called and said everything was normal. In May 6 months later, still not feeling well (thyroid s/s, no prostate s/s) my wife who is a RN insisted I go back to my doctor. I did, I saw her partner (husband). He ran more tests. (Oh, she did the rectal thing, her notes say the prostate had no lesions, it was normal and smooth in November). Anyway a few more days pass, we get the lab results in the mail and her husband and partner wrote on the slips that my thyroid level was elevated, and attached to that was another lab slip where he dated it for 5/15/05 and it shows a PSA level of 6.67. Guess what? This lab result was dated 11/4/04. My wife called and demanded to know how such a mistake had been made, that I was nt made aware of an elevated PSA. Got some excuse, he rechecked me with the DRE and there was a tumor. Biopsy followed by a urologist, I was a 6/10 /gleason scale, stage T2a/T2b. Radical prostatectomy followed 8/29/06. Bladder function came back fast. However the other thing is still a struggle. I contacted an attorney. Any feedback?

Re: Urges to pee

Go to the doctor!!!

You may just have an enlarged prostrate and he can prescribe Flomax for that.

I went through the same thing - just peed, had to go again 15 minutes later but nothing came out. When it did I had to PUSH like crazy. Burning sensation at tip of penis after urinating ..... it drove me crazy.

Get to the doctor ...

Re: Urges to pee

By the way,. - there is NOTHING to be embarassed about, when it comes to your health!!!

Your family should be supportive and understand your worries and the doctor is there to help you and others like you.

If you are in pain, tell your father that, - everyone suffers from something at one time or another .... it's no big deal. If your father's car starts making a strange noise, - don't you think he's going to tell someone about it and get it fixed - what's the difference???????????
