Can Prednisone do this?

I was in the hospital for pneumonia last week. I am on strong prednisone. I drove yesterday for the first time since out of hospital and guess what? I cannot see street signs. I wear glasses for up close reading but have NEVER had a distance problem.
Can anyone help me as to what this is?

Absolutely it can do this. I too had problems with vision while on a high dose of Prednisone. It will go away though so don't worry.

My son did this as well on the higher dosage of pred.He discribed it as if you were watching a movie on slow frame by frame, it gets better as dosage goes down. Mfife31
