Question Are they warts???

Hi, I'm a teacher in Southern Japan. I work with a lot of young children and I think I may have contracted some kind of strange wart. (I have had trouble with regular warts on my hands in the past.)

They are on both hands near the thumbs and on the palms. They are tiny pin-head sized red dots. First one appeared and then three more came on areas that contacted the first. I tried using a home freezing kit, but after the blisters came off the red dots were still underneath.

Are these warts? Anyone ever had something like it? It's not so easy to communicate with doctors here. I can't speak Japanese!

Thanks! Amber

Re: Are they warts???

hi,

Doesn't sound like warts to me, but I'm no pro. Are they spreading? Could be a skin infection.. I am currently suffering from a fungal skin infection, I am not sure how I caught mine yet. If you catch them early its best, easier to treat, with an anti-fungal cream. I am obviously not sure what you have though. Working in a school it is probably easier to pick up.

Have you been using anything different to wash with etc? Could be more of an allergic reaction to something.

Best wishes finding out,
M.B
