Talking Red circles on my back... Anyone ever had this?

I have 3 red/pinkish spots or circles on my back just beneath my shoulder blade. Started with one, about a week ago, and now there are two more. They're range in size from about a quarter to the size of a nickel or dime. They don't hurt or itch. They're only a tiny, tiny bit puffy. The outer ring is a little darker than the inside, which is just a little bit pinker than my normal skin. They don't appear to be pealing or flaking either. Anyone ever had anything like this or any clues as to what could be causing it?

Hi,

sounds a bit like ringworm. Not a worm. A fungal skin condition. You can catch it from infected animals or other people. Can be treated with anti-fungal creams like canesten, lamisil etc.

It is worth going to the Doctor, as some people say Lymes Disease looks similar, more like a bulls eye apparently. But that illness is more serious. There is also a condition called Pityriasis Rosea which causes reddish marks. You could do a search on the net might give you an idea, but do check out with your doctor.

Sorry I know these things are distressing,
take care

Sorry to worry you. Fungal infections if caught early can be easy to treat. Best wishes. let me know what the doc says.

Hi whyspots. From what I understand, ringworm is usually very itchy.

Please look at Lyme disease rashes. Although only about 50% of people who have Lyme disease ever get a rash, a bulls-eye rash is a definite sign of Lyme disease. Lyme is a multi-system bacterial infection caused from the bite of an infected tick. Many people are bitten by ticks without knowing it. They are tiny and inject a numbing agent so you cannot feel them on you.

It is always good to get photos of any rashes. Place something near them, like a coin or ruler, before photographing to give it size definition. Then you have evidence of them if needed later.
