What doctor to goto to get prescribed for Adderall and check for a.d.d

Hey, im new here and im 23 years old, i figure i have A.D.D cause i have a hard time sitting down trying to study without me having to get up and doing something before returning to studying or trying to finish a assignment/project. I wished i had gotten checked for a.d.d before i started college, probably would of helped allot with me getting a higher GPA, right now im preparing myself for the gmat to go for my mba degree, and im just not focused, i have free time and instead of trying to study i end up moving around, eyes wondering off, not really understanding what im studying ... What type of doctor should i visit to check for a.d.d and hopefully get prescribed some adderall, im not trying to spend that much $$$ on a doctor that is a specialist in that field, i heard there are different numerous doctors that can prescribe u

Any doctor can see you for ADD. Whether or not they want to pursue treatment is up to them and if so they might go for another medication rather than Adderall.
Chances are if you walk in, say you have ADD, and ask for an Adderall script you won't get it.

good luck

First off you definitely need to see a specialist to accurately diagnose you (self-diagnosis is dangerous). You do not want to go to some family practice MD because he or she isn't trained sufficiently to treat ADD and if you do have it they most likely won't give you the meds you need. Find the money and see a good psychiatrist that specializes in ADD (including adults).
