Why now??

I'm almost 23 and female and haven't ever really had a pimple/acne problem... until now!

I don't understand.
I tried that Proactiv stuff, and it didn't work. I have been taking Loette (Aust. brand of contraceptive, which is supposed to be for treatment of acne as well).
I have also been prescribed something called Clindatech - containing Clindamycin Hydrochloride). I've been using it for a month, and was supposed to notice a difference after 1 week, but it is only getting worse.

I mainly had patches on my jaw-line. Now - for the first time in my life - I have bumps all over my forehead as well.

I feel so self-conscious, but there's not much else I know to fix it. The doctor mentioned taking antibiotics? for 6 months or a year, but my body doesn't handle antibiotics, even for 10 days or so.

I just don't know why - there must be a reason for it??

I am in the EXACTLY the same situation! i am 23 years old and always had clear skin except for random one here and there. So i tried proactive, and i am blaming the awful acne i have now on that. now my face is so bad that i have to go on accutane! i completely understand where you are coming from i don't know why all of a sudden in my life i have really bad skin. i don't know if it is because of proactive or what. but now i have very bad acne all along my jaw line. i wish i could tell you why. before accutane i was on doxy for two month---nothing, and for about a month now i have been on Yaz---nothing...but as you can see i don't because i am going on accutane on sunday. i wish you good luck.

Well Good Luck with the Accutane - I haven't heard of all of these treatments before, so I'm not sure what they are like or what they do.

I was just hoping this Clindatech lotion would work, but I am not very optimistic now.

The Proactiv did seem to make mine a bit worse also. One of my friends said to use it, only for the way it makes your skin so soft and smooth - which is does do, I guess!
