Anyone with Cluster headache info?

Ok a few months ago i posted and ive been posting trying to figure out exactly what i have.

I will be seeing a neurologist in a couple months for an MRI and all that.

ive been dealing with a type of headache for 15 years, No over the counter meds work. the only thing that works and i take daily is lyrica. its a nerve pain pill that deadens the nerve ( i think) so we do know now thats its a nerve causing it.

Yesterday i kept getting pains but it didnt go into a full blown migraine like it normally does. Its in my left temple and left eye only. it never hurts all the way around my head or in the back. just the temple area the only way i can describe is a non stop daily brain freeze.

Sometimes it last a few minutes but most times it lasts all day and sleeping it off doesnt help.

Is this cluster headaches? and if so what causes that nerve to do this? i do have a problem in my neck. my c-2 is "twisted" and a chiropractic scan showed severe nerve damage in the c-2 area.

thanks for your time!

Re: Anyone with Cluster headache info?

Hi im melissa. I have something called Hemicrania Continua. Its a rare one sided headache with bouts of stabbing pain and sometimes eye tearing. i would suggest you try Indocin. it has worked for me thankfully after 2 years of a daily headache.

WOW

Thanks melissa for that info i just got done reading up on it. The one thing that got my attention was the sand in the eye feeling. this only happens to my left eye. almost on a daily basis i feel like i have something in my eye. ive been to the eye doctor and he sees nothing in there and i am constantly cleaning my contact and that doesnt work either.the only thing that seems to help is sleeping. the stabs of pain are another thing. along with vomiting and sensitive to light. for the past few days ive felt a more intense stabbing pain to where i had to stop what i was doing and hold my head. it only lasted a few seconds but it felt like 10 minutes. im glad lately the pain hasnt been sticking for hours. its just odd to me how these can get so severe for hours and then all the sudden im pain free. its crazy and it stinks having a non stop constant brain freeze. I go back to the dr soon. im gonna ask him about the other med. THANKS. and im so glad to hear you are pain free. alot of people (including my fiance) dont understand this kind of pain.
