Can women use minoxidil for men

As anyone ever heard of women using Minoxidil for men because of it having a stronger strength? I can't name the name of the website that recommended this but I just wanted to know if any women have tried this. Thanks for your help.

Yes, women can use the "men's strength" of minoxidil as well... Normally women are told to start with the 2% solution but I suggest the 5%.

Hope this helps!

Re: Can women use minoxidil for men

I think Rogaine says women cant use it, is because they didn't get FDA approval.
Its kind of like, Rogaine saying dont use Rogaine on the front part of your hair.
The reason they say that, they didn't get FDA approval for that.
But Rogaine works good on the front hair.
My friend uses it all over his hair with Retin A cream.

It was found out, that that applying Retin-A with Minoxidil increases the absorption of Minoxidil on the hair.
Minoxidil is the main incredient in Rogaine.
Retin-A should be applied separately from Minoxidil.
If you mix them together, you will weaken them.
Put the Retin-A on your hair, then wait 15 minutes till it dry's.
Then apply the Minoxidil on your hair.

I do not recommend Retin-A at all... simply because it can cause adverse reactions... but that's just my humble opinion... I would recommend starting off with the minoxidil first...
