Horrible Abdominal Pains

For about 4 months now, I've had this constant pain in the middle of my stomach right beneath my rib cage. I don't know whats wrong. I've been to the ER. At first I was constipated so they gave me Milk Of Magnesia. It worked for the constipation not the pain. So I started taking Maalox, Gas-X, Beano, Mylanta Gas, Tums, Aciphex, many other things for gas. Nothing works at all. When I wake up in the morning I burp non-stop. Sometimes I feel like I have to burp but my body holds it in. I get scared because I think I am going to throw up and that is my worst fear. If anyone can help me or give me advice that would be awesome! Thank you!

Re: Horrible Abdominal Pains

If I were you, I would see a gastrointernist. They know a lot about these kinds of things and may be able to put your mind at ease. There are safe prescription drugs that work better than the otc stuff. Gob Bless

Re: Horrible Abdominal Pains

next time in the throws of it really bad and doubled over get to the er room ask for upper/lower gi and or cat scan and labs.
So much of the time if you wait to see your doc there is no showing of the symptoms then.
But above poster was correct with what doc they recomended. There is help out there and treatment if you can get seen while the occurances are happening
