I guess I can officially become a poster on the arthritis board as of today. I was diagnosed with arthritis in my feet and Hallux Rigidous in my right toe. My podiatrist put me on the anti-inflamatory, Relafen. I have a few questions.
1. Are my chances of this working lower because I have been on Volteran, Motrin, Advil and Aleve and none of those has worked? The next alternative he said is Cortisone Injections in the toe and possibly joint replacement surgery if that is not effective. Neither is inviting to me.
2. The fact sheet says that no one should take it long term. So, if it does work, what happens after a certain period of time? Do I have to go off of it and do or take something else? Or, does the condition maybe go into a type of remission from taking the medication?
