Re: food dye allergies

I am allergic to Yellow food dye. About your pill, I seriously doubt they would add food dye, unless it has some sort of flavor. Can you check the box of it? Also, ask your pharmasist. (Like titcho said) ;]

Oh, I use to take Allegra, that's for seasonal allergies, right? Check the box for food dyes.

Food dye allergies-I am allergic to Red #40---yellow #6 --and blue #2 so far....
-yes the allergy pill had red #40 in it and Yellow #6 in it and after checking with the VA (I am a veteran) two of my other pills had the same dye in them so most of my medications have been changed thanks to the VA, not enough to cause a servier reaction but enough to make me ill for a while.
In June of this year I almost died form anaphylatic shock after eating the red glaze that you buy at the grocery store for fresh strawberry short cake--that was my first experience with allergies. Two months ago I was again rushed to hospital and treated for shock due to red #40 and Blue # 2. It was in a silver vitiman pill I had bought.
If any one out there has the same allergies please advise me on any thing you have found to help you deal with this????thank you MS
