Post Complex & Simple Partial Seizures

Can anyone tell me what is the most common medication prescribed for simple complex or partial complex seizures? My daughter takes topamax now, 400mg per day, but has started having the partial seizures just recently. Just wondering what the most common medication is that is the most sucessful in treating this type of seizure.

Hi.
I have had complex partial siezures for many years. I am on Dilantin.
It really depends on the side effects, I guess. For me, Dilantin is the best.
I wish you and her the best.

salutations,

topamax caused big mood swings for me. dilantin and lamictal seems to work. maybe phenytek and lamictal. the phenytek is timed released and works for 20+ hours. good luck...
