For the record, I was on the pill a very, very long time. Close to 15 years. I originally went on for helping with my cramps. Guess what? Not one of the tons of different brands that I ever tried (which was pretty much most of them) EVER took away my cramps. They were perhaps slightly less painful, but STILL Painful enough where I had to take a prescription strength naproxen or ibuprofen every single month when I got my pill period.
I don't believe that the pill takes away cramps. I have never believed that, I think it's a lie and I think it's wrong of doctors to promise that to these poor women who get tricked into taking the pill in hopes their cramps will disappear. Well I'm proof that it just doesn't happen.
So, I'm sorry, I wish I had better news, but no. You most likely will continue to get cramps while on the pill, but they will probably be slightly less painful than they were before you started the pill.
