Omega 3

Has anyone had any luck with taking Omega 3's for ADD? My adult daughter suffers terribly with this and I've been reading that perhaps a deficiency in Omega 3's can contribute to ADD. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Omega 3

Thanks Jamison...I will do that. I just heard today about a mom said that her son is now on Omega 3's and she can see a difference in the behavior. Sure would be nice if this would help....worth a try!

Re: Omega 3

My 9 year old son has adhd and bipolar. He takes 2000 mg of fish oil each morning. This helps both his adhd and his bipolar symptoms significantly, but unfortunately not enough that he can be med free.

Re: Omega 3

My 12 year old son takes eye q fish oils, he takes 6 a day. He has adhd, tourette syndrome, learning dissabilities, suffers from high anxiety, and ocd, and recently diagnosed with dyslexia, which as a parent i knew for many years, but it getting people to listen. Anyhow, after taking medication from the doctors for about six months to help his conditions. I stopped them and changed his diet drastically, cut out certain foods each week, to see what was making the difference, and put him on these tablets which are about £8 a bottle. They realy do work, i was so surprised, after about two months on them the school called me in to show me his work, they were impressed at how his writing had become neater, his reading had improved huge amounts, and he was calmer. I did not tell them i changed his medication because i wonted to see if others did see the difference. He even knows himself that they make a difference, and he does not mind taking them.
