EXTREMELY WEAK after trying different ADD Medicines and stopping, Mind is unclear,etc

Hi, I'm 19 and for about a year and a 1/2 I've been diagnosed with severe depression, bipolar, insomnia, binge eatting due to depression and ADD. I've completely isolated myself from society for this 1 and a 1/2. Spent 2 birthdays alone and depressed. My doctors have tested me on a whole list of antidepressants and all different mgs:
lexapro
wellbutrin xl
zoloft
prozac
paxil
abilify
cymbalta
serrequel
klonopin
rezerem
rosem

Then the doctor decided maybe I'm depressed due to being so unfocused and weak so they put me on this list of ADD medicines :

Ritalin
Ritalin LA
Adderal XR
Concerta (12 hour release) - DIDN't do a dam thing
Provigil


All i can say is that these ADD medicines because addictive in a way because your body gets immune to them, and in my case quickly, about 3-7 days I would have to increase my dosage due to the fact that it would stop working. I had to switch completely at one point from ritalin LA to Adderal XR which messed ME UP completely. I feel DRAINED OUT of energy, depressed severely, hopeless, lazy, and eat compulsively to blank and the pain in my mind like a drug. I liked the initial feeling of adderall xr where it kept me on task and clean , and be productive and think so clearly and not eat out of depression, but then i kept raising the mgs until it was at over dose point since it stopped working. So they put me on concerta which does not work at all.

Now i'm on nowing except ambien to go to bed.


I dont know what to do. I miss the adderall xr effects but not the bad effects. It helped me for those few days.

Now I just feel so drained and weak and cant think clearly for ****. Cant speak smoothly with my thoughts. My mind wonders when people talk to me. I have a bad focus problem. I dont get my tasks done. I'm aggravated.

what was your dosage on adderall xr? How many days did it take for you to go up AND what dose did you increase to everytime you did go up? How much hours did the XR help you feel normal as well?

I know you need sleep in order for It to work. When my sleep patterns are ******. My XR wont work as well. *aka as long, and strong* You need to drink fluids throughout the day and nibble on food to keep your body stable. (this is just my experience)

I take *XR 30mg* when I wake up (sometimes 6am, sometimes 2pm...) Then, 5 hours later I take 20mg of normal Adderall. I take a second dose because I would become tired, weak, worse than I was before I took the medication. It works well. Ive noticed since I take a Second dose I can be productive for pretty much the whole damn day. And IF im actually working, using my energy, etc. I will be able to sleep that night. In return, giving me good sleep patterns. If i DONT do anything that day. My body wont turn off. Making me stay up all night. Causing a big mess with my body, schedule, etc. Which I dont take my meds if I know im going to be sitting around all day.

But, Ive heard. That adderall doesn't just give you energy. It promotes what energy your body has stored already. So.. Rest *very very important* Food, liquids (which personally if I keep some juice or a drink around It doesn't give me ups and downs) Stay away from Orange juice. (it has some kind of Acid) that causes Adderall to not work as well. (as well as other drinks that share the same acid as OJ).

*This is just my experience, and sorry it's 7am and I haven't slept yet. So try and read my post as well as you can. lol*

well I was started on 30 mg and than after 2 weeks I was told to go up to 60 mg in the morning, and i would get like 3-4 hours of sleep if i was lucky, cause I would be up and early cleaning the whole house, scrubbing the tiles for hours,lol. I wouldnt eat anything really during the day except at night have one meal. I never had orange juice. Then after 3 more days I moved up to another 30 mg, than 2 days later another 30 mg, where I thought I was going to have a heart attack.

Maybe the doctor needs to put you on the right med for bipolar then if you have a hard time focussing put you on a add med thats for you.Thats what they did to me.The depression and insomnia is because of your bipolar once you are on the right med for bipolar that should stop.Myself I have bipolar adhd and ocd.
