Is this indigestion?

I feel a knot/ball in my upper stomach, just below my ribs...I get nauseated/and start burping. When the "ball" goes away so does the nausea and the burping.

Any ideas

Re: Is this indigestion?

It's gas...

Try taking Bean-O before eating veggies ( especially carrots, broccoli, beans etc)

Does it occur with all foods?
Are there any other symptoms...chest pain ( you already mentioned the pain below the ribs) arm pain, back pain?
Sore or burning throat?
Lump or golfball feeling in throat?

Also consider taking a digestive enyzme before meals to help digestion.

Re: Is this indigestion?

This feeling can happen anytime thru out the day. Food has nothing to do with it. I have no other symptoms like chest pain, throat lump, or arm pain.

I think its due to anxiety due to the fact ive been having stomach problems for 5 weeks now, and they are running tests. Dr thinks I have IBS, pain lower right ab not PAIN but mild discomfort and pain goes across my upper stomach.

I use to get heart burn when I was pregnant but I felt like I was burning in my throat and could breath fire. This doesn't feel like that.

I feel the same as yours, more serious though. I've got this burping, chest pain, discomfort in my esophagus, vomitting, sometimes constipation, sometimes diarrhea. My doctor call it GERD. You need to have it checked with your health care provider before it becomes unguarded.
