Allergic Reaction to Medication?

Hello everyone,

I have a serious issue to talk about. I take 150 mg. Effexor, 200 mg. Lamictal, 75 mcg. Levothyroxine, and 30 mg. Adderall daily.

I hurt my shoulder recently and my doctor put me on a pain medication called Lodine. I didn't have problems at first...but am noticing some problems now. I am having severe, severe, stomach pain and nausea. I also am having headaches, a flushed feeling and fatigue. Could this be an allergic reaction? Something else? I'm starting to get really concerned. I already stopped the medication...but feel sick as a dog.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you have not already done this, call the pharmacy.Tell them all the meds you took and they can tell you what is up.Good luck.

Re: Allergic Reaction to Medication?

you should actually call your doc regarding these symptoms even tho you stopped the med, just so he can run some simple tests to make sure there isn;t a stomach issue.lodine is a strong NSAID and the possibility of ulcers is there.you just need to see him to have this all evaluated and to be switched to something else for your pain issues.i would stay away from any more actual NSAIDS for now too,as you would probably have the same type of effects with them.this sounds more like just an actual sensitivity reaction to the med itself and its side effects not a true anaphylactic type reaction which would have been more life threatening.FB
