Reading to Withdrawal yet again

Here I am again. Last summer I tapered and then c/t right at the end and thought I would never be here again. Unfortunately I broke my back and foot and wound up back on the wonderful pain pills. It has now been 6 months and I am taking about 8 to 10 7.5 vics a day and sometimes I take a couple of compounds in the middle of the night to help me sleep. So I am starting the taper again.

When I read of people c/t or tapering I never see alot of complaints about what I seem to go through. Stomach trouble. The worse symptom of c/t and tapering for me is sick to my stomach. Literally I throw up so much I am dehydrated, weak and miserable. When I am not physically sick I feel like I am going to blow at any moment.

How come no one else seems to have this problem? Is there something that you take or do to help with that?

Thanks in advance for helping me with my many questions, I really appreciate the help and support.

Re: Reading to Withdrawal yet again

Hi Princess,

I am currently doing a taper from Norco and Morphine, and I have felt ALL of the withdrawal symptoms, including the cold sweats and stomach problems(nausea, vomiting, the dreaded cramps etc). So I can fell your pain quite literally. I was told by my doctors that the only symptom I would notice was increased pain. B.S. I was given an rx for promethazine, and just half a tab really helps with the nausea. I've heard that Dramamine can help as well. Something about the antihistimines I think.

Anyway, I don't know that I have any other advice. But I feel you girl. Hang in there, and keep trudging through, we're all in this together. People on this board are incredibly supportive.
