Need advice...skin feels tight but its not dry

Ive been trying to figure out why my skin feels this way. If I move my face around, it feels like its being stretched, and I dont think it is dry. It can actually be oily at the same time. A good example is if Im eating a burger or sandwhich that you have to open you mouth wide, and you feel like its stretching your skin. This just happened to me at lunch and I washed my face last night and moisturized with aloe vera gel and cetaphil moistuizer, and havent touched my skin ever since. Also, my skin is reddish around the mouth and chin area, and Im thinking they are related. Does anyone else experience this or know why it feels this way? What can I do to releive my skin?

I had that same problem too. But what I found what the problem was from a side effect from some meds I was taking. I think it was called risperdal. Are you taking meds right now? What helped me when this happened was using a moisturizer. Then my skin didn't feel all tight and stretchy.

Not on any meds, I dont even use topicals for my acne. This is what Ive been using.

Aveeno's Ultra-caling cleanser
aspirin mask (every 2-3days)
acv toner
cetaphil or complex 15 moisturizer
honey mask (every once in a while and I know that it does not break me out)

and...only do this regimen once a day

So as you can see, Im not (at least I dont think!) using anything harsh on my face that would do this. thats why Im confused and frustrated!!

hmmm well I can't think of anything else it could be. All I can recommend maybe is seeing a doctor about this.

Your skin might be irritated even if it isn't peeling. Maybe just put additional moisturizer on the red parts during the day.
