Stress CAN affect your bg. I have a somewhat stressful job and when I have a bad day, it does make my bg a little higher. I asked my diabetes educator about this and she really didn't have much to say other than manage your stress better, don't put yourself in stressful situations if you can avoid it. She even suggested finding another job. I have this condition called pay cheque dependancy, so that wasn't an option.
When I told my boss about this,he gave me a raise.

So, I am trying to just go to work and do my job,and not let things get to me so much. I have told a lot of my co workers about my diabetes and out of pity I guess, they don't give me such a hard time. (I work in an office with all of the back stabbing, politics and butt kissing you can stomach)
Being a nurse's aid is a lot different, I guess you just can let things go. You have people that you are responsible for and have to take care of. I would imagine a cranky patient would be all that is needed to set someone off.
Try deep breathes, treat yourself to a massage, go to the gym and work out your frustrations. You need to take care of yourself first or you won't be able to take care of anyone else.
Like Frankie says: "RELAX"
All the best!
