Question Blood sugar level

I take 500mg of Glugophage with breakfast and 500 mg at dinner time along with 30mg of actos. My BS is Ok till dinner time but early morning fasting levels are invariably close to 140. I watch my dinner carefully. I think this elevation is because I do not do any physical work afetr dinner just watch TV and go to bed. Any thoughts on
1). When exactly should thee medications be taken in relation to the meals? My doctor was very vague.
2). Will long acting dosage help ?
3). Should I try a different medication ?

thanks

Re: Blood sugar level

Glucophage should be taken with your meals. Actos can be taken at any time, but it should always be at the same time so that the dosing is spaced appropriately. Glucophage offers an extended release tablet which you may want to consider with your doctor.
