Question Cloudy Urine??

Hi everyone, I am hoping someone knows this. I got my 3 yr old up this morning and sat her on the potty. And when she got up because she was done. The pee in the toilet looked cloudy like almost "dirty". It was strange.
She has complained a couple of times about her pee pee hurting after she went. But I didn;t think much of it. She is on azithromycin for pneumonia right now,But didn't see that it can cause cloudy urine. So I went out and bought the azo strips to test for a uti and it came out neg.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Re: Cloudy Urine??

I know that some medicines can make your urine cloudy, but usually they will have that listed as a side effect or on a sticker on the outside of the medicine bottle. I would think if you couldn't find it listed anywhere, then it might not be from the medicince. I personally would probably call her dr. Maybe she has a slight uti, since the urine was cloudy and she said it was hurting. That way they might be able to tell you if it is from the medicine or maybe an infection.

Re: Cloudy Urine??

Hello there,
try not to worry to much, your diet can be the reason of the cloudy urine alot of different foods change your urine, if its a uti there is normally (sorry for the graphic detail) bits floating in the urine, shes also on medication to at the moment and it might be her body's way of getting rid of the current infection she has. but if your still worried approach you GP, thats what they're there for.

Love and hugs

xx

Hopefully she didn't wet her pull up, so I can see if it is still cloudy in the toilet again,She has complained sfter she goes a few times her pee pee hurts. But who knows. Thanks for a ll the info, If she goes when she gets up and it is cloudy, It won't hurt for me to ask them.

Question Re: Cloudy Urine??

Well her urine isn't cloudy anymore but I tested her with the last UTI strip and it was positive, So I got another bottle of 3 and saving it until the first morning urine. She has been saying hurt, hurt and pointing down there.
What would cause that? It tests for WBC and nitrate. the nitrate was neg but the wbc was pos.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
