Need some help!

Hello everyone my name is luke,

I guess i should start at the beginning.
for the past week i have been suffering from really painful chest pains and pain the the center of my back (between my should blades) it feels like there a huge golf balls inside my chest and back and they are trying to get out.
last nite i had the worst experience of it..
as i was lying in bed i thought i was having a heart attack or something. i went to the doctors this morning and he thinks i have acid reflux, hes put me on ranitidine for a month to see how it goes, i take two a day one in the morning and one before bed.

i am a singer in a band and it seems to be really bad after a rehersal. is this somethin im gonna have to get used to?

any advice would be great.

Hey Luke. I have the same symptoms, scary chest pain and burning backache. Gastro doctor thought it was my gallbladder because I had stones.
Unfortunnately for me, it turn out not to be since the symptoms continue.
I recommend that you have your heart checked just to be sure. I've been reading all the acid reflux/gerd threads to find out what symptoms others seem to have. Chest pain seems to be one of the symptoms of gerd/acid reflux.
