Re: Hey Dakota!

hi sannah,

thanks v. much for asking about me!!! you're sweet!!!!

well, it's been ok so far, considering all things...my dad is stable, thank God for that. it appears that he has some problems with his thyroid, and that's what's been causing his pulse to go crazy for the last three-four weeks. so now they're looking into that. they had his heart looked at and said it's actually working well, so i was extremely relieved to hear that the heart itself is still ok!!! to me he is truly superman, let me tell ya!!! i can't believe the ol' ticker is still going, and the man is basically skin and bones....my mother just said to me the other day that she wishes that both my sis and i have at least some of his genes....

i posted under the carsam thread about my dad's update, and what i went through about two days ago, to try to get in touch with a pdoc, b/c i was almost out of some pills--had only two left--that are being prescribed only on a monthly basis (the antianxiety ones). i had such a difficult time getting in touch with someone, until i remembered my old and first pdoc that i ever saw in my entire life, and i was lucky enough that he had a cancellation for a 4:30 appt. that day and took me in (he called me back about 5 min after i left him a message saying he was my last hope)....i was so immensely thankful, you have no idea!!! i thanked God over and over while talking to my cat...you'd have thought i was really crazy...but i was alone, and i needed to let it out, if you know what i mean... at least i'm not anxious anymore from that perspective (these pills are not something you can get off cold turkey)...

today is sooo nice here in terms of the weather, and i really want to go and spend some time out in the sun, feel the sun on my face...there's a botanical garden close by, and i just talked to my b-friend about it, so we'll go after i take a shower....he wants to go to chruch after that...maybe i'll go, maybe not...i'll probably go just to go....

i wanted to talk to you about my relationship "issues" but i'll leave this for another time. it's something that has been causing me some stress and depressive thoughts lately, but i've come out and talked with him about it just last night. i'll write about what happened later.

thanks for everything, and have a good/great sunday!!!

Dakota, glad to hear about your dad. I'll be waiting for your relationship issues post. Have a great day out in the sun - I'm going out now too!

Re: Hey Dakota!

hi to you too justlilme,

oh please, girl!!!! you can read or write whatever, whenever, and anywhere you like!! the boards, and posts are, after all, seen by all. and i wouldn't mind whatsoever to make other friends around here. actually, only sannah and carsam have been answering my (very long) posts, or shown interest to do so (maybe b/c they're so long!! ), on a constant basis, and i guess that's why i've always written to them most of all....so please feel free to "intrude" anytime you want!!

we can always learn from each other!! let me tell you (but you probably know this already), it's good to have other people's opinions and points of views. sannah and carsam are (to me) almost complete opposites--one listens carefully, is understanding and caring, but able to remain detached from a situation, so, in a way, able to see it in a larger perspective, if you will. that helps when one (I) gets too enmeshed in things and isn't able to see "them" clearly anymore. and, if needed, she will also give you the ever gentle kick in the behind (we've always joked about that), to sort of wake you up a bit . if you're doing "well," and are working on your issues, she is the first to give you praise and encouragement (that's sannah); carsam also listens carefully and she mirrors back your feelings. she is extremely compassionate and we have been having similar issues (in a way) with our families; we are a bit alike in that we're rather sensitive, and we've been having some illnesses in our families for exactly the past 7 years...she has also had members of her family pass away due to terminal illnesses; she's struggling as well on a daily basis with her mom, who has depression and anxiety (that's why she came to the boards basically--to learn more about depression, to help her mom), and with the responsibilities of caring for her daughter and of being a good wife.

so, again, please feel free to read and write whatever/whenever you want !!!! i'd actually be happy to have yet another person's input. i've written to you in the past too, so ....don't even think about it anymore, ok?!!!
