hi mike....i hope i can chill you out. sounds like you got it right away. it is a horrible, scary disease. use caution with everything you do. wash hands constantly, put your bandages in a baggy before you dispose of them, change pj's/clothes that are touching it everyday, wash your laundry seperately from your families and above allelse take whatever meds the dr. ha given you and follow up on all appt. my daughter had it last summer. by the time she saw her dr. it was the size of a golf ball. thought it was an ingrown hair and it grew overnight. she had her whole family tested, took several rounds of meds, cream for her nose and under her nails, and was a nut case with keeping it away from others. she healed totally but it took awhile since the cut to drain it was very deep and heals from inside out. you should be fine if you take all precations. she is 34, a healthy mother of 2. has no idea where she got it. best of luck.
