I have taken both Loestrin 1/20 and Yasmin. While I didn't have any side effects with Yasmin, I really had bad side effects with Loestrin. It made me moody, tired, very bloated, and I would constantly lose hair when I would brush it or take a shower. And I mean enough to sort of have concern. So after taking Loestrin for 4 months I switched to Kariva and all of my symptoms went away. I can actually notice my hair barely falling out anymore. I don't have any bad side effects with this pill and it makes my period very short (Like 2-3 days). The only reason I would not recommend this pill is if you are susceptible to migraines. Since it is so low dose, you don't get as much weight gain or loss of libido problems, but I have read about many people who experience headaches. I don't have any problems with that, although the pill pack has 5 pills that you take during the last week of the pack that have an ultra low dose of hormones in each of them to stop headaches from starting.
