on the pill, threw up, help please!!!

I'm on Lo-ovral and I take it at 7 pm everyday. On sunday I took it on time as usual, but around midnight I threw up. Only once and not very much at all. I know I'm not pregnant (it was just something I ate), but I have heard that you can throw up your pill and make it ineffective.

Did the pill have time to get into my system properly before I vomited?? Is 5 hours enough? Am I still safe???

You should be fine. I had a similar problem a few months ago and posted the same question here as well. What I got was that 3 hours should be good enough for the body to absorb the pill. So you should be safe...

5 hours is enough. I've had some issues with nausea and throwing up and I'm on the pill. I talked to my doctor about it because I was worried and he said that as long as it's been at least 2-3 hours since I took it, I should be fine.
