I recently switched back to Yasmin from Loestrin 24 fe, and my libido has suddenly vanished. I started to notice mild changes about two weeks ago. I feel bad because I know that my boyfriend has noticed as well. I actually brought it up last night and he said, "Yeah, I thought it was just me..." Also, my breasts have grown almost a whole cup size! I don't want them to grow any larger! It has only been one month.. should I stick it out and see if the side effects even out???
You might just be experiencing these side effects because you switched pills. I would try the new BC for a few months and see what happens. Monitor the side effects and then if you feel that you need to address them then I would call your doctor.
I am going thru the same thing. I am on tri-sprintec a genaric brand of ortho and its been ok. But my boobs have gotten big and I am moody more and sick to my stomach specially after haveing a few drinks. I have not gained any weight I'v actually lost some weight. But the biggest issue for me is the sex drive is gone. I'v been on this for 8 months now and I feel so bad for boyfriend. also my period is off a little with this. So I stopped takeing the pill for a month and I will see if thats the reason if so then I will go with a lower dose of hormone. Good Luck
I seem to have the same problem. I was on Loestrin 24 fe and prior to that Estrostep, but have had zero libido for the past year. This causes a bit of a problem since I'm a newlywed (we celebrated our 1st anniversary at the end of April). It really bothers my husband, but no matter what I do I have no desires at all. I have quit taking all birth control, due to finding out i'm genetically at a higher risk for blood clots, so still trying to figure that one out. Maybe my libido will come back?
