Not Addisons.. My 19 yr. old has POTS

My 19 yr. old daughter has postural tachycardia syndrome. She has been on floinef for 4 years and the Cardiologist just put her on Toporal a week ago. This has been a nightmare for her. She moves around like she is 75. Her chest feels heavy, nausea, headaches, tired all the time, yet she can not sleep. she wants all of this to stop.... she wants to be NORMAL. What else is out there for her? Will life get better. She goes back to college in a month and i'm scared to let her go.

I have Pots and I take Florinef, Proamatine and a beta blocker for it. I'm still very weak and tired but I dont faint anymore atleast. Does she see a specialist for it?

Re: Not Addisons.. My 19 yr. old has POTS

she had been seeing a cardiologist since she first passed out at 15. she just started with a electropsyhiologist 2. 5 weeks ago. what is Proamatine? We live in Missouri and my daughter starts college in mid august in DC. I'm a bit scared about her being so far away and not having tihs under control. Her echo was fine and her potassium was good this time around. she is wearing compression stockings to keep her bp up.
