Question allergy shot reactions

I just had my second mix shot thursday and my bidy was aching all day friday and the injection site was red, hot and sore. Then this morning i woke up with my nose bleeding. Is this normal?

Don't know about the nose bleed but you should take an antihistamine the morning of your injections. How long after the injection did you wait at the doctor's office? Sounds like your serum may need to be diluted a little.

I wouldn't consider it a normal reaction. I could not tolerate the first injections I tried because of the preservative which at that time was glycerin. I finally found an allergist that uses preservative free injections & had no problem. I thought the reason for injections was to feel better not worse. good luck!

They only have me wait 20 minutes. My biggest allergy is grass. My doc has me using astlin everyday right now. Do you think that is enough?

You aren't on an oral med? Allegra, zyrtec, etc? Only the astelin? And how big was the redness/etc at the injection site? Anything quarter size or smaller I wouldn't worry about...but I would get on an oral med..at least for the day of your injection. If you have allergies bad enough for injections, then either you should be on something more than astelin or I would question your choice of physicians.
