Post Cornea transplant due to corneal thinning from RK and Lasik

Hi all - I had corrective surgery done on both eyes about 10 years ago. My right eye came out fine at 20/20, but left eye was bad, overcorrected. I then had Lasik done on my left eye about 4 years ago, and it got worse, as the cornea thinned and I had to have a cornea transplant.

The transplant physically went fine, but my vision is very bad in that eye still, very nearsighted (had transplant over 1.5 yrs ago). I have tried a contact lens in that eye, but the contacts don't stay put, because apparently the cornea is not shaped symmetrically (and I don't think I could ever get used to wearing a contact).

Basically, I wear glasses, my left lens being very thick 20/300 or something, and my right lens has no correction. My question is - is there anything I can do to correct my eyesight in the left eye? I mean, I am extremely disappointed that the new cornea didn't result in at least decent correction. Plus, I get very bad headaches, I think because one eye is 20/20 and the other is at best 20/300.

I am going to make an appnt. with my cornea doctor and see what he says. I can't believe there is nothing he can do to make the eye see better. We were hoping that after taking out the stitches, the eye would see better.

Thanks for any advice or tips.
