Post Lasik/ Dry eye

My girlfriend had lasik eye surgery last week. She says her vision is fantastic but she is complaining of dry eyes/pain/irritation. She also has a broken blook vessel in her right eye and it is very red. Is this something that is expected after this type of surgery?
Any info I would be great. Thanks.

The dryness is expected for a little while after LASIK (a few weeks to a few months, I think). While that's how it is for most, in some cases, some people continue to experience the dryness years later.

I had lasik about 5 weeks ago. The conditions you describe are the same as I experienced. The awful looking red spots in her eyes will go away soon. You mentioned her sight was excellent. My distance vision is not very good yet. I can see to drive, but things in the distance are fuzzy. They assure me things are ok. They suggested I use sodium chloride solution drops for corneal edema. Has anyone had experience with them ? They burn like mace when you first put them in.
