4 day long headache?

Working on 5 now.

About 4 days ago i was laying on my side in bed with my girlfriend just talking, and i felt sort of a buildup in my head. I got really dizzy, and once i stood up i got this major headache. I felt a throbbing pain in the side top part of my head. It has been on and off for about 4 days now, occasionally the pain isnt terrible, just hurts a bit, then other times im perfectly fine, i feel nothing at all, then other times my head is throbbing and i cant take it. Today i woke up, i felt decent when i was in bed, i stood up and i was extremely lightheaded and i felt this extreme pressure inside of my head.

I dont know what it can be. I thought it may have been an eye problem, because a day or two before that i started drawing more often which i rarely do, and that requires me to look harder and concentrate harder. I already have glasses because i am near sighted, but i only need them for seeing off in the distance and driving. I figured it may have come from the hard concentration i do on tiny spots when i draw. This morning my eyes were kind of sensitive to the light, made my head hurt a bit when i looked at anything bright.

Anyone know what it could be and how i could fix it? I tried all the typical medicine fixes already. They dont do too much.

Re: 4 day long headache?

It sounds like a migraine. I get frequent migraines and bayer usually works for me. Try lying down in a dark, quiet room, Put a cold compress or rag over your forehead, massage your scalp using a lot of pressure, put pressure on your temples. Avoid stressful situations and foods that may trigger migraines like cheese, and drinks like alcoholic beverages, and caffeine.
Try taking acetaminophen like tylenol or Excedrin Migraine. If none of this works. You may need to see a doctor. Maybe, you need to see a optometrist for a stronger presciption for your glasses because eye strain can trigger migraines. Or just try resting your eyes.
