How do you use those cute, faces in your post's?

I went to the legend and can't figure out what to do. I type what they say but, it didn't do anything. What do I do to make it work? Thank you, Kim

I just typed it on the keyboard and it came up automatically. I have WebTV so I can barely tell what all the other icons look like.
