I just started taking Yaz after switching from Apri Oral. I'm only on my first week of pills, but I was just wondering what I should expect for my period while on Yaz?
While on Apri, my period never started until the thursday/friday of my placebo week, and will usually last 5-6 days and sometimes be very heavy.
What are you experiences with your period with Yaz? Is it lighter and shorter?
My periods were about the same when I was on Yaz. However, make sure you are really good about taking it regularly and on time everyday because I got pregnant on Yaz with my second child. I was taking it properly, but still managed to get pregnant. I am sure that you and your OBGYN have spoken about this, but be sure you are vigilant.
Thanks! I rarely ever miss taking a pill at the same time every day. Do you think you got pregnant because it is a lower-dose pill? I always use backup when I take my placebo pills just to be safe.
