lump in throat??

I feel like I have a lump, or something lodged, in my throat! I can breathe and swallow just fine, but the feeling of this lump is driving me crazy. Anyone else have this, or have any idea what it could be? I first noticed it the other night after I took a shot of some alcohol...

Re: lump in throat??

Anxiety can cause this sensation. Look up anxiety symptoms on an engine search.. God bless!

Re: lump in throat??

alcohol can dry your throat very quickly. Maybe thats causing yr discomfort. I've had that feeling before, feels like you swallowed razors . the itch is so annoying..so maybe drinking lots of fluids will relieve that.. but if its persists.. see the docs. Good luck

Re: lump in throat??

It sounds a little like acid reflux to me. That is what I feel when I have an acid reflux attack. And alcohol can cause an attack. For a day or so, stay away from alcohol, any acidic food like pasta sauces, mexican foods, anything red or spicey. Stay away from coffee or soda. Try drinking water and eating something like white rice or mashed potatoes with butter and salt. For some reason, when I have an acid reflux attack, those two foods are what my body craves and the only foods I can eat that actually seem to not only not make it worse but eventually make me feel better. I think it is the starch. You might try an over the counter antacid or something as well. Otherwise, the best thing I can suggest is to see a doctor for proper diagnosis. But, it sounds to me like that is what you might have.

Take care!
