anyone know of any inhalers or meds that dont cause fast heart or nervouis

With a big problem .Cant take Asthma meds that cause fast heart beat or nervous.anyone know of any thatwill not do this?

Do you mean a rescue inhaler or daily preventer? Flovent, as a daily preventer, does not have any bronchial dilators in it so it doesn't do that. As for a rescue inhaler, after a while the shakes will go away with albuterol as your body gets used to it. And the new albuterol HFA inhalers seem to cause it even less. Xoponex is an option but it's available only in nebulizer form so you would have to carry it with you all the time in case you had an attack.

What all does your doctor have you on? And what kind of asthma do you have?

I have problems with fast heart rate.so they are working on one that does not cause any side effects like this .however i guess it is mainly i cant have any that causes heart rate or nerousness.

I, too, have had problems with rapid heartbeat from various preventive meds -- interestlngly not so much from the Albuterol.
I have lately been using Asmanex which is quite effective and seems mot to cause those heart symptoms.
Sometimes you've got to try many different meds before you hit on the right one.

Xoponex is available for both nebulizer and as a metered dose inhaler. I use it instead of albuterol, which is cheaper, but makes me shake and causes insomnia. I don't get the shakes or feel restless when I use Xoponex.
