Information for after Cryosurgery/therapy

I had Cryo done Tuesday. We have not had sex yet, the Dr. told us to wait 2 weeks and that is killing us. What I was confused about is that he told us not to have sex for 2 weeks, but said it would be ok to use a tampon. He even put one in before I left the office.

Why would it be ok for a tampon and not for sex?

I stopped using the tampons on the 2nd day and just using a pad now cause I got worried. But using a pad and not a tampon is kinda hard and bothersome with my police uniform.

Any suggestions?

We did do clitoris stimulation but nothing was inserted. And everything was fine with that.

Also anyone have any comments about how long the watery discharge continues? That is the worst part so far aside from the no sex. We have it almost everyday so that is about to kill us.

Hi,

I had cryo done about 25 years ago and I really don't remember what i was told regarding how long to wait before having sex or inserting anything such as a tampon. My guess would be that the tampon does not go all the way up to your cervix, whereas intercourse could possibly repeatedly bump your cervix and aggravate the healing process.

It's now been 2 weeks and 3 days since I had it done.
Sex right at 2 weeks was painful.....but the 2nd time was not and for that I am grateful
NOW still the WORST part is still this dang discharge...it is still going on...
GGGGRRRR....I HATE IT....Any ideas or suggestions on things to help it along and go away quicker.....
I am just so sick of the pads and discharge etc...
