How do I deal with a Menieres attack?

When I have an attack (severe vertigo and vomiting) for a few hours, I panic. I can't handle the room spinning, etc. Any suggestions?

Oooo - that is harsh! I would immediately take compozine for the vomiting and then either meclazine or ativan for the dizziness. I am so sorry this is happening to you.

Then of course get to the bottom of these attacks!

MTN...I have heard that there are special vestibular exercises for menieres patients. They are suppose to make the attacks shorter and less severe.

I would check the veda website for a vestibular specialist near you...and start on their program.

Iam sorry you are not feeling well.

Oh poor thing well here is some advice. Stay away from salt, caffeine, and chinese food. Those make it way more likely to become dizzy, especially if you have Meniere's Disease. I would recommend antivert for the attacks. Just take it as needed. A vitamin supplement like Gingko Biloba would help the blood circulation to the brain so I would recomment that too. Seabands help fight the nausea and some dizziness too, I use them, they work pretty well. Anyways I am sorry you are going through this. I have heard a quite a few people who overcome Meniere's Disease. Good luck, hope this helps, keep seeing the ENT, and take care
