New here..here is my story & need advice

Hello,
I have been using herion now for about 3 months (daily) I need at least 2-3 bags a day to not feel sick. Not even feeling high anymore. I have decided to nip this in the bud before it becomes worse! I would like to try the cold turkey with the help of the vitimins, minerals etc.. I read about here. Im hoping since I haven't been doing this too long that I can do it privatley with noone knowing. I plan to start the vitimins etc.. on Thursday( have to wait til payday to get all my supplies) how long should I do this before stopping the herion? I will start going to na meetings, I hate this feeling of being a slave to this, & Im ready to quit!! any advice on a good game plan for me will be sooo appriciated.
God bless u all who help anyone who posts here...Thank You.

Re: New here..here is my story & need advice

Sweetpea,

I've never used heroin, but I was very addicted to morphine and one is a derivative of the other, the w/d's may be similar. I'm not sure. Hon, there's no getting around them regardless of what vitamins you take. By all means, take them, but don't expect them to completely negate the symptoms. For me, the leg pains and low energy have been the worst because they seem to be what stays with you the longest. I use the hyland's pills with quinine. It doesn't take them away completely, but seems to help a little.

I think the best thing you can do is get involved with NA. I'm into my 2nd week of meetings, and those people have been my link to sanity. Go with an open mind. They WILL get you through this if you let them. I'm sending hugs and prayers your way.

Re: New here..here is my story & need advice

sweat pea,

I am so proud of you that you are ready to stop and stop now. That is the first and really the biggest step. You realized you had a problem and you have said to yourself.

I don't know about doing the home detox plan with heroin. Why don't you get your stuff but in the meantime let's see if some heroin posters will give you some tips on how to stop the best way for you.

I have a good friend of mine whose boyfriend just licked a crack habbit all alone. he looks amazing now, he is on high from life now and is just a walking testimony. He came over yesterday and I was just amazed at him.

He stopped cold turkey and he said it was a hell he couldn't even begin to describe, but he did it. If he could stop his 2 year crack habbit, it can all be licked, it is just determination. He said he prayed and prayed for God to keep his desire to be clean as strong as it was the day he quit and he said had that prayer not been answered it would have been impossible.

Keep us posted, I am so proud of you.

Love and blessings,
Karen

Re: New here..here is my story & need advice

Thanks for your words of encouragement! I am so happy I found this web site.I donot expect to sail thru w.d. with no symptoms Im just hoping to be able to semi-function thru it. I've still gone about my daily life with a bad cold or flu , so Im hoping with the advice here I'll be able to do this as well. After tommrow I just have to work 4hrs on Sat. morning then Im off until Mon. I hope the worst will be over by then. Is it true that since my use has not been that bad (meaning someone I know uses 14 bags a day just to function) that I may not have the worst of the worst w.d. ? oh, and speaking of him..I told him about you guys here and Im ready to quit & I think he may be too. He was wondering how long it will take him to get that much out of his system. and what would your recommendations be for him. I think he has been using for a few years. I be back later to check in with you all & thanks again.
