Gingivitis?

My gums on both the top and bottom of my mouth are swollen and red. They are really sore and bleed when I brush and floss and eating is just horrible. Sound like gingivitis to you? Anything else I can do before I go see the dentist? I am already flossing, brushing (duh), gargling with slatwater and mouth wash. I probably need a cleaning but I am waiting for an appointment.

Been like this for about a week, I actually started to notice a change in my gums 2 weeks ago but it didn't hurt, my gums were just tall and flappy between my teeth.

Re: Gingivitis?

Sounds like it to me... His products are the bomb. A bunch of stores carry them and you can get the whole kit. Lots of specials and promotions. If your gums aren't too bad I bet with a good cleaning and a great followup at-home care program, your choppers will be just fine again soon. But seriously, try to get ahold of this dr. katz line of products. They are unbelievable. I have had a cracked root for almost a year, ( noone knew) and then had apicos that failed and was in terrible pain. I got the perio mouthwash and it has almost totally controlled my pain. I was taking advil all day long but somehow just the toothpaste and mouthwash are holding the pain down until I get them pulled tomorrow..yeah whaaa
