Skin pigmentation ?

I was diagnosed with adrenal insuffiency in November. My antibody test for addison's came back negative which I am really not sure what that means, anyway I have been on 30mg of cortef and .1 of florinef along with a collection of drugs for hypothyriodism, had half of thyroid removed in July due to follicular cells.

Started back to work after 9 months last month, and I am SO TIRED. I think is is just from the change in routine, but I now am forming big dark patches that are big circles on each side near my ribs. Should I be concerned?? I think I am on the maximum dose of everything.

30mg could be a lot of cortef. I have no adrenal glands at all and I only take a total of 25. So you have essentially shut down your adrenals using medication. That being said, you cannot just stop but have to wean to an appropriate dose as you may be giving yourself Cushing's and that causes fatigue. Maximum dose is NOT a good thing is the case of cortef as it can cause a lot of problems in the long term.

The hyperpigmentation can be caused by high ACTH or by diabetes.

Hope you are on thyroid meds. It would seem, I hope, that all your hormones are being tested as it seems that when some go off, many go off.
