Re: Tapering Plan

Hi Lisa,

Tramadol is a b*tch. And hard to come off. You are in the danger zone because you are taking too many per day. You need to cut back. You will feel very little change if you start cutting back 2 pills per week. One week at 25 then the next week at 23, etc. When you get down to 10 per week then cut 1 pill per week. When you get to 5 per day then start cutting the pills in half. and cut 1/2 pill a week. When you get to 2 pills per day. stay there for about 2 weeks and let you body adjust. You will then come off them very slowy by beaking them and using your own judgement. In the end you will be taking a 1/2 a pill a day. There may be times you may up it to 1 pill a day. I can understand. Just pick a weekend or a few days off (if possible) and jump off.

You may want to look into getting a AD the last few weeks to deal with the deperssion. I personally take Cymbalta which works great for me a got me off tramadol with no withdrawals. Just be adware that you can not take an AD with the amount of tramadol you are currently taking.

Re: Tapering Plan

BTW: Tramadol contains no Acetaminophen. I just read your earlier post.
