I find for me that when I am already excited about something it just escalates. I also find that when I have been depressed for a long time and there is a straw that breaks the camel's back, sometimes I get manic. Caffeine also does this (Once right after I was diagnosed I drank 3 mountain dews and went crazy...note to self, never do that again) Anyway, sleep triggers both
mania and depression for me. too much sleep =depression. too little sleep=mania.
