Anybody Else?

Does anybody else have relatively clear skin UNTIL they go on BCP's, and then about 2 months into it you develop pretty bad acne (big, under the skin cystic pimples around your chin, some on your chest/back)?

I feel like I am doomed to never get this right! I was on Yasmin - TERRIBLE breakouts, took me months to get over them even after I stopped the pills, and I just got off the generic Orthocyclen (MonoNessa), which my gynocologist suggested after listening to my worries about breaking out. Terrible again! Same, under the skin chin pimples, plus on my back really BAD! So I stopped taking those the first week into my 3rd packet because I just couldnt take it anymore. I am having my withdrawl bleed now, and my skin is already soooo much better being off the damn pills (and probably because I had just finished my period before, which is when it gets the worst - so maybe I'm speaking too soon but I feel it definately is the BCP's causing the acne).

I have an appt. set up for the 5th of November w/my gynocologist. Any ideas about what I should do? Somebody suggested hormone levels testing, which I am certainly going to ask about. Does anybody know anything about the "mini-pills" I have heard mentioned? Do those have less hormones in them? I can't get an IUD, my gyno won't give it to me because I have never had a child. Does the patch have less hormones? Or the ring? I feel desperate and depressed because I hear so many success stories of women who go on these pills for such and such, and then I go to take them for birth control, and they screw me up in all those other ways!

Sorry for the rant - I'm just desperate for some help.

I am considering going off BCP, scared . . . going to break out. But I'm already breaking out, so are the pills causing it? My Dr. doesn't know -
I have been off and on for years to control periods, acne, etc . . .
but is it worth it, I don't know. The loss of sex drive is measurable, my husband is rallying for me to go off them, for obvious reasons I've been testing myself - take the pill for a day, then skip a day. The acne seems more inflamed when I take it, though it did clear my skin in the past.
Something has changed as I have the cysts again My Dr. did a baseline hormone blood test, don't have the results yet - we'll see if it's something more ominous. In the meantime, just trying to keep the breakout under control. Sorry not very helpful, I'm trying to figure out if the pill is causing my acne as well.
